Who we are

What we collect
Information you give us
If you email us, we keep your message and address only for as long as it takes to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit opt-in.
Information stored in your browser
We use browser local storage — not cookies — for two things:
age-ok— records that you confirmed you are of legal drinking age, so we do not ask again.region— records the shipping region you selected, so we show you retailers that can actually deliver to you.
Neither identifies you. Both stay on your device and are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Affiliate links
When you click through to a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network (Impact, CJ Affiliate, Awin, Affiliate Future or ReferralCandy) may set a cookie on their own domain to attribute a purchase to us. That processing is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. We receive only aggregate reporting — how many sales occurred and their value. We never receive your name, address or payment details.
Analytics
We use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics to count page views and referrers in aggregate. No cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles, and no data sold to anyone.
Legal basis (UK/EU visitors)
Local storage entries above are strictly necessary to deliver a feature you asked for. Aggregate analytics rely on our legitimate interest in understanding which guides are useful. Email correspondence relies on your consent.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU, California or another jurisdiction with equivalent law, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your data protection authority. Since we hold almost nothing, this is usually a very short conversation — but write to us and we will answer.
Children
This site concerns alcoholic beverages and is not directed at anyone below the legal drinking age in their country. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and describe what changed.
